Being one of the MANY whose life have been transformed by this extraordinary fellow human and light being and having the enormous pleasure of having met and shared some laughter with him in the 70’s when I was then performing with The Beach Boys (Werner was our guest at the Anahein Stadium in California), I join in to honor his presence in our life.

It, to me was distinguishing the difference between my mind (identity) and my self. Confusion over which is the leader of ones life leads to living life at the effect of the blathering, wandering, vacillating mind. The mind is characterized by me as the constant, subvocalized stream of comments about everything one thinks or encounters. The Self was described in psychological literature not long ago as the silent listener (to all that mind chatter). This distinction is incredibly liberating since it empowers one to make choices that are completely appropriate to the situation rather that make decisions that are the automatic result of mind-based opinions, reactions, etc. to what occurs. My personal life changed drastically in 1981-82 when at the end of the Guest Seminar Leader Program, a Werner video presented the idea that after making oneself big, that it was a good idea to take on something in your life that matches your expanded power. I choose to make a difference in the world of pediatric optometry, eventually as a consultant. My thanks to Werner and all the staff and volunteers who over many decades have profoundly altered my life for good.

Seshan Subramanian ( aka Mani Subramanian)

I did the est training with HAL ISEN in February 1981 in BOMBAY,India. There are many things that I forgot but I still remember Ravi Shankar who introduced me to EST. I asked him what does IT do, or what is it and he said “if you do this est you can face any crisis in life”. I was enrolled on that one answer and signed up and my life is never the same again. DO you all remember the DANGER process that we did in the EST. That was something. I then heard about the six day course and came to the US and did the Six day course in 1990. I take life as it comes, I let myself be all the time, and do not mind what others would think of me if I do something spontaneous and outrageous like jumping into the swimming pool fully clothed on my birthday party in the presence of all my frinds and family. My philosophy is be outrageous. - Mani( pronounced MONEY)

Mani Subramanian

I met Werner when he addressed a crowd of 3000 est graduates at Shannmukhananda HALL in BOMBAY, India in 1982 along with Jinendra Jain. At that time I was little awed by all the celebratory atmosphere and I held myself back. I then relized how my inhibitions were holding me from me being my true self.  Since then I have been outrageous and open hearted and straight in all my conversations. This is a great web site. Maybe we should have live reunions in various cities. Reading all the messages from other est graduates brings back the nostalgic memories and longings that make me feel very happy and full- Mani Subrmanian

The est training changed my life and the lives of my family. We started relating to each other in ways that would not have been possible without the training. I am profoundly grateful for the breakthroughs I’ve had from the est training. I take risks in my life, in my work, in my relationships, and I have the confidence to know that no mattter what happens, I can be at peace with what is so in my life. I was never the same after the est training and I am forever grateful.
