I did the Training in LA in the mid-80s. Ron Zeller was my Trainer. I’ve never forgotten his energy and commitment to powerfully and maximally delivering the Training. He succeeded. I got it and life after knowing “it wasn’t necessarily the way I thought it was” changed dramatically. I was to continue to learn that lesson, as the possibility the Training opened manifested (and still does) throughout my journey into AA and A Course In Miracles. Both of these thought systems, in their own ways, echo “returning to the mind” that Werner opened for me with his Training.

My only regret is that est, with the enrollment debacle, never realized the power of “attraction rather than promotion” that would have facilitated its enduring with minimal controversy as these have.

Life, however, is our classroom, so we learn as we go.

The est training and my connection with Werner (I took the Training in Febraury 1975 in Los Angeles … I was two months shy of my 19th birthday)was the pivotal “moment” of my life. I was trained by Landon Carter and I think that was a big plus for me, as I consider him to be a very “spiritual” man. I not only had an enlightenment experience, but I also realized my SELF as the space of that experience … and of ALL experience. I also realized that I am a teacher and catalyst for transformation at the core of my Being. The last 34 years of my life has been lived in and is a natural extension of the space of BEING that I realized back in February 1975. I appreciate this opportunity to publicly acknowledge Werner. I hope he is well and I would love to connect more fully with what he is up to now. Blessings, Dr. David Kamnitzer

I keep running into est Graduates that come to see what Landmark Education is about. I have been participating with est/WE&A/Transnational Education/Landmark Education Corporation/Landmark Education, LLC non-stop. I have been living the answer to Werner’s riddle back in the 1980’s “why wasn’t that book called 1002 Arabian Nights?” I communicate about the est Training on a regular basis. est is alive and well at Landmark Education. People who think they’ll never get what est was, or get to relive that experience need simply to open themselves up to the possibility that it is alive and present in the Landmark Forum. When I watch the old tapes of Werner sharing about est on U-tube, all I can hear is he is sharing about his work, which has continues long after he closed down est in 1984, or retired from public life in 1990. No need to get nostalgic about “the work” which is alive and global.

WoW! I was wondering how I could communicate again about the est Training ~ and ~ I have found this site I didn’t know existed online here! Wonderful! Hello! I first participated in the est Training during the early summer of 1972 in San Francisco with Werner Erhard. That was not the only time I have been able to work with Werner: New York, London in the U.K.,and, the Saturday Morning Sattelite Seminar Series in Southern California in the early ’80’s. My older children also participated in the Children’s Training. We are a very vibrant, interactive & loving extended Family. Recently, I spoke to Laurel Sheaf on the phone long-distance. Now I have obtained a copy tonight of the Documentary about Werner from 2007-8. This is All Good! I am still in awe knowing what I gained from my experiences in participating in life since the first weekend in 1972 with Werner have made a profound impact on the way I show up as my authentic self. I promised Laurel that I would find a way to share and, I feel that, maybe, this is a beautiful start to give back something so valuable as the contribution everyone in the beginning on the est staff shared with me to assist me in supporting the real quality of my life and my self-expression. I will continue to support and share myself by fully embracing all there is out there with much loving THANKS! Out of doing the est Training in the mid 70’s - I broke through thinking I was going to be limited my entire life because I got married at 17 and didn’t go to college. When I completed the est Training I knew, without a doubt I could do anything I wanted, I just had to find my way to do it. Within 6 months I was teaching a Transformational Training across the country!! For over 30 years I have had the priveledge to contribute to the transformation in people’s lives through different forms - coaching, counseling, healing work, trainings and authoring books. I am the Founder of The Center for Conscious Living. All these years later I am still having Ah, Ha’s from things I heard in the original Training. As I grow, Werner’s words come back to me at new levels of understanding - very profound that a Training could keep evolving organically as it has. I feel very Blessed.

Back in the old est days (the est training was a grueling, delicious, personal growth seminar created by Werner Erhard which promised transformation in two weekends to its participants) Werner developed an advanced seminar called The Six Day. Held in New York and California, The Six Day went 24-6, twenty-four hours a day for six days. If you started to doze off during the long lectures in a tightly packed course room with 99 other participants, you would get up from your chair and stand at the side of the room while holding a log above your head. These logs, conveniently lined along both sides of the room, where used to ensure you stayed awake while confronting coma inducing self realizations. This was intense stuff.http://www.awakeningweb.com/awakening/est-six-day-experience

i did EST in 1972 at the jack tar hotel with maybe 200 people in the room w me..
i was pregnant at the time. i know my baby received the training with me, werner had said so. i was young for my age (20) at the time..but the EST training stuck w me all my life.
i was so dense i took it 3 times. first time i was preganant, second time i took w my friend who was actually a “teen trainer” and the third time was to see if i really really got. i was fortunate werner allowed me to take the other seminars at a minimal cost by a simple phone call. i have used the training in my life, past it down to my children and now my grandchildren.
i learned so much from EST i think i would be a big mess running patterns if i didnt.
the “secret” is a big thing now and it re affirms my beliefs in what i learned way back then. i am always happy to tell people i did that training..it has been a huge thing in my life and i am ever so grateful..

The est training was the open door I needed to go through to fully appreciate and love the power that was dormant within myself and the joy I felt just being in the world. I have created an enormous life of experience through the fruition of dreams and disappoints over the last 30 years. I participated in est in 1979 in New York City. It was overwhelming! I followed that with the 6-day, which continues to this day to be one of my most memmorable and powerful experiences. From est, I particpated in The Forum, Landmark Education, The Experience, Lifespring, Insight, Kairos and other experiential trainings to build on the masterful opening that was created during my est experience. Wherever Werner Erhard is and whatever he is up to, I applaud him for the magnificent difference he has made in not only my life, but the lives of millions. Kristian Alexis Perry, NYC.
